About me

Hi, my name is Max, and my life is connected with web analytics.

I started my journey in internet marketing as a marketer at an advertising agency. That’s where I realized that all marketing is built on hypotheses: we come up with an idea, launch it — and then we need to measure whether it works or not. And to understand that, you have to collect data and know how to read it. From that moment on, analytics became my main profession.

Before diving into the online world, I spent over two years working in offline retail. That experience still helps me better understand customer behavior, because many things that work offline can easily be applied online. Since then, I’ve been especially interested in e-commerce. Although, if you think about it, almost any website is a bit like an online store — because every site has a goal, and behind that goal is always some action that needs to be measured :)

Why this blog?

I enjoy sharing my experience and knowledge. Here, I write about analytics in plain language, without fluff, and try to share only what truly works. Sometimes these are my own cases, and sometimes — approaches from other specialists who inspire me.

In addition to the blog, I also speak at various events. These can be lectures or conferences where professionals gather. As a speaker, I talk about analytics, case studies, and useful tips.
